Crown Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions

These terms provide a detailed overview of the principal conditions governing Crown Rewards membership, Points, Status Credits, membership cards, benefits and account use. By applying for membership, participating in Crown Rewards, using a linked account or claiming a member privilege, a member accepts the applicable Crown Rewards rules. The official rules effective from 24 April 2026 may be updated, so the current version published by the relevant Crown property prevails over this summary.

Crown Rewards Membership Eligibility

Crown Rewards membership is free and available only to eligible individuals aged 18 or over. Membership is not available to companies or other organisations. Applicants must complete the required application and provide current acceptable identification, which may be copied, scanned and verified as part of our registration and legal compliance procedures.

  • • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • • Membership is issued to individuals rather than businesses.
  • • Current acceptable identification must be provided.
  • • Only one Crown Rewards account is permitted per member.
  • • Crown employees cannot participate in Crown Rewards.
  • • Excluded persons may be unable to join or retain membership.
  • • Registration is complete after the application and identification are accepted.

A provisional membership may be provided while registration is being completed. Provisional members can earn Points from a limited range of transactions, but eligible casino activity is excluded. If full registration is not completed within the specified period, provisional membership may lapse and accumulated Points may be cancelled.

Home Property and Destination Conditions

Every Crown Rewards account has a designated Home Property. This is generally the Crown property in the same state as the member’s residential address. For members who live outside Victoria, Western Australia or New South Wales, it may be the destination where they joined. Members registering through the Crown app may be able to select their Home Property.

A Home Property may change after a residential address update, the opening of a new Crown business in the member’s state or a review of the property where the member recorded the most activity during the previous three months. Available privileges can depend on the assigned Home Property and may differ between Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth and Crown Sydney.

Crown Rewards Card Conditions

Each member receives a physical or digital Crown Rewards Card linked to their account. The card displays or represents the member’s identifying membership details and may only be used by that member. It remains Crown property and must be returned if requested.

  • • A Crown Rewards Card is personal and non-transferable.
  • • Members must not lend or give their card to another person.
  • • The card must be protected against loss and unauthorised use.
  • • Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately.
  • • A replacement may require acceptable identification.
  • • Linked online accounts must be held in the member’s name.
  • • Card misuse can result in suspension or membership cancellation.

We are not generally responsible for unauthorised redemptions completed before a lost or stolen card is reported. A police report may be requested where fraudulent use is suspected. Replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged card remains subject to our identification and account-security requirements.

Earning Crown Rewards Points

Members may earn Crown Rewards Points through eligible personal spending, casino activity and other approved transactions at participating facilities. The Crown Rewards Card must be presented or registered when the transaction occurs. For electronic gaming machines and automated table games, the card must be inserted or connected correctly.

  • • Points are only awarded for eligible transactions.
  • • Participating facilities may change from time to time.
  • • Individual earning caps and exclusions may apply.
  • • Deposits do not earn Points until full payment is received.
  • • Members cannot collect Points from another person’s spending or play.
  • • Table-game Points may reflect the game, average wager and playing time.
  • • Points can be adjusted if an error or technical issue occurs.

Points are calculated per transaction to two decimal places but are displayed as whole numbers. Any remaining partial Points continue to count towards the next whole Point. Members should check their account regularly and generally report an omission or discrepancy within 60 days.

Crown Rewards Points and Status Credits

Feature Crown Rewards Points Status Credits
Purpose Used for eligible Crown payments and experiences Used to determine membership tier
Transferability Normally non-transferable Personal to the member’s account
Cash Value Not directly exchangeable for cash Cannot be redeemed as payment
Cycle Remain available while the member stays active Reset at the end of each membership cycle

Redeeming Crown Rewards Points

Crown Rewards Points can be redeemed for selected goods, services and experiences at participating facilities. Available redemptions can include accommodation, dining, retail products, entertainment, events, table play and selected Crown gift cards. The required Points and participating facilities may change.

  • • Points and privileges are normally non-transferable.
  • • Only the member who earned the Points may use them.
  • • Redemptions remain subject to availability.
  • • Selected benefits cannot accompany another discount or promotion.
  • • Different destination-specific restrictions may apply.
  • • Promotions may limit or exclude Point earning and redemption.
  • • Points may be deducted against an unpaid hotel account after 30 days.

When goods purchased with Points and another form of payment are returned under the applicable refund policy, Points are generally returned before the other payment method. The original receipt is required, although a transaction record may be requested from a Crown Rewards or reception desk. Points earned through a refunded purchase may be deducted, and the related Status Credits or membership tier may also be adjusted.

Crown Rewards Points Expiry

Points do not expire while a member remains active. A member is generally considered active when they have earned or redeemed Points within the preceding 12 whole months. If there is no qualifying earning or redemption activity for 12 consecutive months, the account’s Points expire at midnight AEDT at the end of the twelfth month. Expired Points cannot be restored.

We may reverse or cancel Points credited incorrectly, obtained through prohibited activity or awarded in breach of the Crown Rewards rules. A membership account with no recorded transaction for a continuous period of 24 months may be terminated.

Membership Tiers and Review Cycle

Crown Rewards has five membership tiers: Member, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Black. New members generally begin at Member tier. Progression to Silver, Gold or Platinum is based on the Status Credits earned during the membership cycle, while Black membership is available by invitation only.

  • • The membership cycle runs from 1 October to 30 September.
  • • Status Credits reset to zero at the end of the cycle.
  • • Tier allocation reflects applicable Status Credit requirements.
  • • Members may move to a higher tier during the cycle.
  • • Mid-cycle benefits may be provided on a proportionate basis.
  • • Members can move down if retention requirements are not met.
  • • Tier upgrades remain subject to review by Crown PlaySafe.

Tier thresholds and available privileges may vary by Home Property. Members generally receive the benefits associated with their allocated tier for at least one membership cycle, subject to compliance with the Crown Rewards rules and any destination-specific conditions.

Promotions and Third-Party Offers

Crown Rewards promotions can include hotel rates, dining privileges, prize campaigns, birthday offers and seasonal experiences. Each promotion has separate eligibility, activation, booking, redemption and expiry conditions. Point earning or redemption may be capped or excluded for selected promotions.

Some goods, services and benefits may be supplied by participating third parties rather than directly by us. Third-party offers remain subject to the provider’s conditions, availability and refund policies. Any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law continue to apply.

PIN and Account Security

A member may be required to select a Personal Identification Number to access selected account functions, Crown Wallet or cashless-play services. The PIN is personal and must not be shared or recorded in an insecure manner. Acceptable identification may be required when selecting or resetting it.

  • • A PIN may only be used by the account holder.
  • • Members must not disclose their PIN to another person.
  • • Three consecutive incorrect attempts may restrict account access.
  • • A locked PIN may require an identity check and reset.
  • • Members are responsible for protecting account access details.
  • • Suspected unauthorised activity should be reported promptly.

Casino Access and Carded Play

Crown Rewards membership does not guarantee entry to every Crown property or casino area. Crown Sydney Casino requires Crown Sydney Casino membership unless another form of access is permitted under the applicable policy. Casino Point earning and card use are also subject to local property requirements.

  • • Valid carded play is mandatory for eligible electronic play at Crown Melbourne.
  • • A valid card is required for electronic gaming machines at Crown Perth.
  • • Crown Sydney requires a valid card for electronic and eligible table-game activity.
  • • Crown Wallet applies to selected Crown Melbourne and Crown Sydney functions.
  • • Player activity statement requirements may apply.
  • • Time and loss limits operate according to destination-specific rules.

Crown Wallet balances are property-specific and cannot be transferred between Crown destinations or different members. Technical interruptions may temporarily prevent access to funds, and identification can be required when collecting a remaining balance. Crown Wallet and cashless-play features are subject to their own detailed conditions.

Changes to Crown Rewards

We may amend the Crown Rewards rules, eligible services, Points requirements, Status Credit arrangements, benefits and participating facilities. Where a change has a material detrimental effect, we will use reasonable efforts to provide at least 60 days’ notice. For changes involving third-party benefits, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice where possible.

Promotional offers may be varied under their individual conditions. Material changes may be communicated through the relevant Crown website, by email and at Crown Rewards or reception desks. Members are responsible for keeping their contact details current and reviewing the latest applicable rules.

Suspension and Termination

Membership, Points and privileges may be suspended, restricted or cancelled when a member materially breaches the Crown Rewards rules, misuses a card, acts fraudulently, interferes with Crown property, breaches casino game rules or becomes excluded from a participating property. Suspension or termination may also occur where required by law.

  • • Fraudulent or dishonest account activity.
  • • Allowing another person to use a membership card.
  • • Offensive, disruptive or intimidating conduct.
  • • Damage to or misuse of Crown equipment.
  • • Breach of casino game or property rules.
  • • Legal exclusion from a Crown property.
  • • Failure to comply materially with membership conditions.

Members may cancel their Crown Rewards membership through a Crown Rewards desk or the relevant membership contact channel. Cancellation immediately removes access to accumulated Points, Status Credits and privileges. Certain identification and transaction records may continue to be retained where required by law.

Privacy and Member Information

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to administer Crown Rewards, verify identity, provide customer support, maintain security, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and deliver relevant member services. Information may include contact details, identification records, account activity, gaming activity and, where applicable, health or biometric information.

Member information may be shared with authorised Crown entities, participating facilities, service providers, regulators and law-enforcement bodies where authorised or required. Members may request access to their personal information in accordance with the applicable privacy policy and legal requirements.

Marketing Preferences

Members can manage promotional communication preferences through their account settings and available contact channels. Email marketing may be stopped through the unsubscribe link, SMS marketing by replying STOP and app notifications through the relevant preferences. Opting out may affect access to personalised promotions but does not prevent essential membership, security or responsible-gaming messages.

Program Suspension or Closure

Crown may suspend or cease operating Crown Rewards. Where possible, members will receive three months’ notice. If the program closes, Points and privileges not redeemed within the period stated in the notice may be cancelled.

Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in the Crown Rewards rules removes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, limitations may apply to losses connected with unavailable benefits, technical faults, third-party offers or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Members remain responsible for any personal tax obligations arising from the receipt or redemption of Points and privileges. The governing law is generally the law of the state associated with the member’s Home Property. If one provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining Crown Rewards conditions continue to apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Every Crown Rewards account has a designated Home Property. This is generally based on the member’s residential state, the property where they joined or their selection when registering through the Crown Resorts app. We use the Home Property to determine access to certain privileges and property-specific benefits.

Yes. A Home Property may change following an update to a member’s residential address, the opening of a new Crown property in their state or an assessment of where they recorded the most activity during the previous three months. The current designation is available through the membership portal.

Members generally need to present and register their Crown Rewards Card during an eligible transaction to earn Points. If Points are missed because of a verified technical or operator issue, a manual adjustment form must be requested on the transaction date and submitted with the receipt and identification within 14 days.

Members cannot earn Crown Rewards Points and points from an eligible third-party loyalty program for the same hotel stay. The preferred program must be selected when booking or checking in. Bookings made through third-party travel agencies or booking websites may also be ineligible for Crown Rewards Points.

No. Crown Rewards membership or tier status does not automatically provide access to every area of Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth or Crown Sydney. Entry remains subject to each property’s conditions, age requirements, membership rules and access policies.
